What is the Adoption Process?
- Paws and Tails Adoptions strives to find great matches for both the pets and adopters. The adoption process follows:
- View animals up for adoption on our Website, Facebook Group or in store at Petsmart Heartland, Petsmart Argentia or Petsmart Steeles and Kennedy.
- Once you have found an animal you would like to adopt, please complete and submit an Adoption Application or fill one out in store.
- In order to adopt a pet, applicants must:
- NOTE: Applications are not first come, first served. Making sure our fur babies go to forever homes that are the best match for their personality is the most important factor in approving an application. If we do not approve your application for a specific cat, we may be able to help you find one that better suits your family/situation.
- Once your Application has been approved and you have been matched, we will contact you for a meet and greet. If someone does not contact you within a couple of days, please call Shirley Cook at 905-450-9693 between 9am and 5pm to confirm she has received your application.
- If the meet and greet is successful, schedule for pick up will be discussed. In the majority of cases, animals DO NOT go home the same day. If you do not show up at your scheduled pick up, the animal goes to the next approved applicant. We WILL NOT chase you down. .
